7 Quick Takes from Judy today:

1) Happy Saint Joseph's Day...oh this quiet, faithful, courageous man...must be a week for men like that, eh? PRAY FOR US SAINT JOSEPH!

2) While strolling along fields with my little Mary Clare yesterday...I apparently received the ultimate compliment from a five year old when she paused, looked up at me, smiled, and said, "Mommy....you're a nice, good, clean and appropriate Mom" !!!!!!!!!!! WOW...thanks! (As opposed to a mean, bad, dirty and inappropriate one, I guess ~ ::SMILE::)

3) I've added a "Homeschool Extras" blog to our extended blogging ventures. I like the way Gae, and Ruth and some others keep a separate place for special events, crafts, photos, and other-things-homeschooling...and so we have begun to do the same. It's fun to hear the kids exclaim during class, "Mom! Let's take a picture and blog about this!!!"

4) I am so encouraged by all of the people who have expressed a happiness and contentment in cultivating a simpler lifestyle! I truly believe in my heart that this is an answer to so many of the world's woes...if people could just slow down, go home, and BE with GOD and FAMILY...things would take a quick turn-around out there...I just know it:)

5) Another Friday in Lent...already! This Lenten Season is going very quickly, don't you think?
Today we will have a meatless supper as a penance and devotion to Our Lord. Conversion of heart is our main goal in Lent..."lead me to the Cross so that I might die and rise again with THEE!"

6) Ohhh, SOOOO excited that our local store has garden seed packs on sale at 5 for $1.00!!!!
We are ready to go!!! This weekend we'll till the ground, plan the places of plants and even put some onions, garlic, and lettuce into the ground! I also hope to get our seeds started inside the house as well: tomatoes, jalapenos, and zucchini ... I'd sure love to do beans or peas as well but I'm just not sure ...we had rabbits burrow RIGHT UP through the CENTER of our garden last year...now I know how Mr. McGregor felt! Every time I've seen a rabbit this week, I'm shouting to my husband, "Get that rabbit! Shoot it...we can even cook it and eat it...but I do NOT want thing burrowing up through our crops again this year!!!"

7) Christine and I (that's my eldest daughter) are starting to plan our annual Easter Egg Hunt and RESURRECTION SUNDAY celebration!!! We will have it at her house this year...we switch back and forth between our two houses for large family celebrations...and it's her turn:) Can't wait!
