Judy's Quick Takes for February 5th, 2010:
1) I have been overwhelmed by the feeling that there is SUCH JOY in the ordinary day to day life we live lately. Truly, each moment is a gift, and we have lived a FULL LIFE in every moment that we have lived fully! (Ever see Mr. Magorium's Wonder Imporium with Dustin Hoffman? GREAT MOVIE...he quotes something similar in there!)
2) It cracks me up how suddenly efficient, hard-working, and able to do a LOT in a little bit of time people become when they hear that there is a snow storm on the way...why don't they just live and work that diligently and efficiently ALL the time?
3) I get very excited, when, in this troubled economy, I see people taking the reigns and starting their own small businesses with gusto and zeal! It is so encouraging! The woman who owns the salon where I get my hair done added a little tiny country boutique style shop at back on the same property...I just get so happy for her when I see the twinkly white lights in the window...it's great when women can supplement the family income and find new ventures that bless and sustain themselves! There are a few women I know from the Homeschool Lounge who are currently discerning and praying about starting their own business websites (like ours)...please offer a prayer for these women...that they have clarity of God's will for their families...and that if they do venture into these new waters, that they find much JOY, much ENRICHMENT, and much PROSPERITY therein!
4) Soup...I am wanting soup...but oh what kind to make? Hmmm...guess I'll let "what is in the pantry" make that decision for me!
5) We were so sad to know that we will be snowed in and will miss watching the Super Bowl and celebrating my grand-daughter's birthday at my daughter's house on Sunday...but were QUITE happy to learn from my daughter that we can watch the Super Bowl online!!!! YAY!!!!!!
6) My daughter Laura is starting a second blog as she feels called to reach out to other teen girls in a special way. The focus of her new blog will be "Struggles that teen girls face and Solutions for them"...Laura is trying to provide a place where girls can come and find encouragement, Faith, enrichment, and good advice...and she wants to offer them a safe way to interact with one another and find ideas for wholesome, fun activities as they strive to be pure and lovely young maidens of the Lord. Please also offer a prayer for Laura...that her intentions will be well-received in the young blogging world:)
7) I am VERY much looking forward to a good rest tonight as I have been up late for many nights in a row. Thank you God for warm beds and comfy blankets:)

My favorite soup is my Hearty Potato Soup
It is easy to make and I usually have everything right one hand or in my freezer.
I always love a good hearty chili on cold nights, or baked potato soup, or crab bisque...I love soup & bread!
You guys are making me HUNGRY again!!!
Care to share those recipes? I'd sure LOVE to have them!! You can post them here or email me if you like!
