This week, I give thanks to the Lord for:
1) my Dad...his health continues to fail and I am very aware that each moment he is with us is an added blessing
2) the smiles of delight and appreciation my husband gives to me whenever he eats the dinners I've prepared
3) our garden...and the beautiful time together that we've shared there this summer
4) my daughter Christine...now a grown woman, wife, and mother...and one of the best friends I've ever had
5) small pleasures like steaming hot coffee in the morning, the nice scent of a candle, the way raindrops look when they are sliding down my windows, and the songs of the birds in the early morning

I really shouldn't pack, wash laundry, do dishes and write at the same time...somethings going to get crossed wired! LOL
I'm packing because I'm do at my mom's this afternoon! Talk about last minute! LOL I'm trying to get the laundry done and dishes done also so DH doesn't have to worry, and that I don't have enough clean undies and socks to pack. They have clean stuff, just not DAYS worth LOL!!!
I gave DH an announce on the food and told him not to spend any more then that....so I don't have to shop for him! LOL
I did say I was thankful for this trip right?

If I recall, your DH makes a pretty good
"stove top stuffing", LOL! He'll be fine!

Judy,my prayers for your dad. It's so hard to watch someone you love falter. I'm sure you are a tremendous blessing to him!

Thank you for your prayers for my Dad Anne...yes...it is very hard...to see someone who has always been bigger than LIFE seem so worn, fragile, and frail...but God's grace is with him and we are being blessed in many ways throughout these days.
